About Tyndale

Set on park-like grounds surrounded by native bush and generous sports fields in the South Eastern suburb of Flat Bush, Tyndale Park Christian School is a Year 1–13 independent Christian school committed to assisting parents in their God-given responsibility to educate their children. For over 40 years, we have offered Bible-based, Christ-centred education that shapes the hearts and minds of young people for faithful Christian living and service.

Our size is our strength. As a small, family-friendly school, we offer safe, caring, and multi-year level classrooms where every child is known and valued. Relationships are strong across all year levels, and our dedicated staff serve in a collegial and purpose-driven team.

Person description

We are a seeking professional who:

  • Can work closely with the principal and drive the renewal of our curriculum. What is relevant to teach in 2026? What is relevant for New Zealand? What is relevant to teach in the age of AI? As a small school, what are we able to teach? And above all, as a Christian school, what should we teach the children of our Christian families?
  • Enhances our vocational track. Our career adviser is driving this track, and you will work with her to set goals and requirements.
  • Understands the CENZ framework for secondary school qualifications. All New Zealand universities accept a CENZ Level 3 Certificate for university entrance.
  • Works well with teacher-led and and student-driven learning methodology.
  • Is able to teach a broad range of subjects from Years 9-13.
  • Can start part-time in term 4, if possible to allow time to become familiar with our high school curriculum and qualification framework while the retiring senior teacher is still available.

Ideal qualifications

  • With our head teacher retiring, we will have a gap for subject specialisation in English, History and Social Sciences.
  • You have an interest in being part of the senior management team.

Applications will close as soon as suitable teachers are found.

We are looking for a registered teacher who:

  • Loves God and desire to honour Him in their teaching and relationships.
  • Demonstrates a clear calling to Christian education.
  • Builds strong partnerships with students and families.
  • Holds relevant teaching qualifications and be currently registered by the NZ Teaching Council.
  • Is willing to contribute actively to the life and culture of the school.
  • Agrees with the missionphilosophy of Christian education and statement of faith of our school.

Come and be part of a Christ-centred learning community where your teaching ministry can impact generations for the glory of God.

We encourage school visits before applying for the positions. Please contact the principal:
