What is your attitude?

Friday, 16 Apr 2021

Dear Parents, last week I posted a short article on our school’s Facebook page about gratitude. It appeared in a recent Focus on the Family® e-newsletter. Its message on gratitude resonates with me because it is easy to feel ‘wronged’ when we don’t get what we feel ‘entitled’ to. The article reminds its readers that the Lord calls us to a different standard that has benefits both for our families and society in general:

2021, here we come!

Friday, 26 Feb 2021

Dear parents, if you are new to Tyndale Park Christian School, we want to extend you a very warm welcome. We also want you to know that you are an answer to our prayers: we have been asking the Lord to increase our numbers and believe that God, being the loving Father He is, has inspired each one of you to partner with us for the education of your child(ren). Returning families, you remain an answer to prayer, and it is an honour and privilege to continue partnering with you for your child(ren)’s education.

Jesus Christ: the source of all hope

Wednesday, 16 Dec 2020

Dear Parents and Students, our theme for Thanksgiving 2020 was ‘hope’. I had a look at some of the acronyms for HOPE in popular culture. Some of the examples included ‘Hackers On Planet Earth’, ‘Helping Other People Excel’, ‘Helping Other People Eat’, ‘Helping Others Prepare for Eternity’, ‘HUMMER Owners Prepared for Emergencies’, ‘Harnessing Optimism and Potential through Education’, ‘Hold Onto Prayer Everyday’ and ‘He Offer Peace Eternally’. Which one is your favourite?

God is our refuge and fortress!

Tuesday, 10 Nov 2020

Dear parents and students, ‘He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust’ (Psalm 91:1-2). Room 10 reminded us a few weeks ago, when they hosted the week’s assembly, that God’s people must not be fearful. After all: our Protector is the One who has created everything! It was a great encouragement in light of the challenging year we have had.

Unity in diversity points to the Trinity

Tuesday, 29 Sep 2020

Dear parents and students, the diversity of our school community is a treasure because not only are all of us are made in God’s image (Genesis 1:27), the immensity of the diversity showing us how great God is, but it also teaches us not to think more highly of ourselves than we ought to (Romans 12:3): we, finite creations, are made by an infinite Creator.
