Sports Coach and Coordinator

We invite applications for a part-time (10 hours a week) Sports Coach and Coordinator position. This is a fixed-term position for terms 3 and 4 with a possibility of continuing into 2026. We are an independent (private) Christian School in Flat Bush, Auckland assisting parents of students from Years 1-13 for over 40 years.

The Sports Coach and Coordinator will work with classroom teachers to achieve the goals and targets set out to:

  • enhance the profile of sport and physical activity within the school 
  • enhance student physical and character development through a sports programme 
  • support and promote the safe delivery of sports and physical activity to students.

Key Tasks will include:

  • Encouraging and coaching students to participate in various sports
  • Communication and administration
  • Organisation of sports events, competitions, trips and tournaments
  • Professional Support and Training
  • Other tasks as may be reasonably requested from time to time

The ideal candidate will have experience working within a school environment.  Applications will be assessed as they are received.

Mainly Music Facilitator and Volunteers

We invite applications for the Mainly Music facilitator and volunteers to assist the facilitator. This is a fixed-term position for terms 3 and 4, with the possibility of continuing into 2026. The facilitator will be paid for 2 hours a week.

The facilitator will be trained and supported by mainly music nz to run a fun, interactive weekly music session for babies, toddlers and preschoolers with their parents or caregivers. Every session includes a structured 30-minute music time, followed by morning tea and relaxed playtime for children and adults alike.

When: Fridays during school term time

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Where: Tyndale Park Christian School Hall

Start Date: Term 3, 2025, Friday, 18 July

The ideal candidate will have experience working with babies, toddlers and preschoolers in a paid or voluntary positions at church or early childhood centers. Applications will be assessed as they are received.

Volunteers - Sports Coaches and Digital Media Managers

Volunteer Assistant Sports Coaches

We are looking for volunteers with skills in sports coaching to support our Sports Co-ordinator. The assistant sports coaches work with the sports coordinator to coach students for sports competitions within the school and inter-school competitions run by Auckland Christian Schools (ACS). 

Volunteer Assistant Digital Media Manager

We are looking for volunteers with skills in digital media to assist our Digital Media Manager. Your skills in photography, copyrighting, and video editing will be appreciated when managing our social media - Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and school website.
