Tyndale Forest Restoration Project

Tyndale Park Christian School Launches Native Forest Restoration Project.

Join Us in Preserving Our Natural Heritage!

We are thrilled to announce the Native Forest Restoration Project, in collaboration with Auckland Council. The Friends of School (FoS) is planting native trees as part of the restoration of the native bush. This initiative reflects our dedication to environmental stewardship and preserving the natural beauty around us.

Located near Murphy’s Bush, a significant remnant of indigenous forest, our school houses a small yet vital area of native flora, which is essential for local wildlife. Unfortunately, indigenous forests have faced severe reductions, making our restoration efforts crucial for conservation.

We invite all community members to join us in this important initiative. Whether you love nature or want to help preserve our environment, your participation is valued! The next Volunteer day is scheduled on Saturday, 9 August for native tree planting, 9.30-12.30. Everyone is welcome to contribute, learn about native species, and connect with our surroundings. For more details contact us directly.

For those interested in joining the restoration team led by Mr. Jim Lim, a school board member, please email at admin@tyndalepark.school.nz or call us at (09) 274 9771.

As we continue on this journey together, let us remember: "The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein." (Psalm 24:1) Your involvement can make a real difference in safeguarding our native forests for future generations. Come be a part of something special at Tyndale Park Christian School!
