ONZA Marimba Festival 2018

Friday, 14 Sep 2018

Dear parents and caregivers, We thank God for the opportunities He gives us to help our students discover the talents He has given them. After the Father's Day Breakfast on Saturday morning 1 September, some of our staff and students headed off to the Barfoot and Thompson Stadium in Kohimarama for the annual ONZA Marimba Festival.

Schools came from all over the North Island to take part, some as far as Taranaki! All the schools prepared the same selection of songs in the weeks beforehand and played together in a mass orchestra on the day.

Busting myths at the A.C.E. Info Evening

Tuesday, 21 Aug 2018

The purpose of the TPCS A.C.E. Information Evening last night (Monday 20 August 2018) was to address the persistent myth (a.k.a. untrue perception) that the A.C.E. qualification does not prepare students adequately for tertiary study and/or work. Students who have left Tyndale Park Christian School consistently testify how our academic programme, with A.C.E. as foundational curriculum, sets them up for success.

Last night we heard from four of our alumni how TPCS has enabled them to rise to the challenges of both tertiary study and work.

School open as usual Wednesday 15-08-2018

Tuesday, 14 Aug 2018

Dear Parents and Caregivers, as you may know, the New Zealand Educational Institute (NZEI) has asked their members to participate in a strike tomorrow, Wednesday 15 August. They represent primary educators in the state school system. As an independent school, our teachers' salaries and working conditions are not negotiated by a teacher union (whereas our colleagues in the state school sector negotiate their wages and working conditions with the Crown via the teacher unions) but determined by the Trust Board.

We are open!
