In addition to the regular curriculum, Tyndale Park also provides many more opportunities for children to explore, learn and compete:
- Duke of Ed Hillary Award
High school students from Years 9-13 participate in hiking and community service to earn the Duke of Ed Hillary Award.
There are three levels to the award.

TPCS Annual Science Fair for Years 5-10
During term 2, students work on a scientific inquiry project of their passion under the classrooms guidance. On a Saturday, early in term 3 the school community comes together to the school hall to check out the students' scientific inquiries on display. Judges (generally with PhD in Science) choose the top projects for awarding cash and book prizes for each year level. Younger students will have a classroom project for display of their science learning.
NIWA Regional Technology and Science Fair
Top entries from the TPCS Science Fair enter into the regional inter-school competition. Our students get special prizes and category prizes in this inter-school competition.
- Lunchtime piano lessons from Music in Schools (for a fee);
- Lunchtime chess lessons and competitions;
Auckland Christian Schools Tournaments for football, netball, cross country run and touch rugby.
Selected teams from Years 5-13 participate in the inter-school competitions for Auckland Christian Schools.
- Swimming lessons for Years 3-6
Our school also hosts and runs Mainly Music for toddlers and preschoolers and their parents on Fridays.
