Business Manager for 2022

The Trust Board of Tyndale Park Christian School is seeking a Business Manager/Executive Officer, commencing in January, 2022. This is a new role for our school. The Business Manager will be responsible for the finances, payrol, administrative and property related side of our school.

Working to support the Principal and Board of Trustees, the ideal person will be a team player yet possess the ability to work well independently; be trustworthy, teachable, confidential and proactive; be innovative, efficient, solution-focused, and forward-thinking, able to meet specific deadlines and be accurate.

The role is expected to be 0.8 FTE with hours between 8am to 4pm. You can expect to be free for most school holidays. The role would be ideal for those with school age children, or those seeking to semi-retire.

We are an independent school operating classes from Year 1 to Year 13. The successful applicant should be a professing Christian with a heart for Christian education, has attention to detail and excellent organisational skills, has advanced experience with Xero, Google Suite and financial analysis, and the ability to communicate well to a wide range of people. 

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Financial performance and ensuring the School remains financially viable.
  • Identification and management of financial risks.
  • Financial planning and record-keeping.
  • Financial reporting to various government departments and ensuring that all statutory and tax obligations are met.
  • Oversees all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
  • Works with the principal to create the financial strategy, planning and forecasts.
  • Studies, analyses and reports on trends, opportunities and projection of future growth.
  • Responsible for all Human Resources processes such as record keeping and ensuring processes are followed.
  • Student enrolment and registration with the systems provided by the Ministry of Education.  
  • Improvement of our administrative procedures together with the school secretary.
  • Oversee day-to-day care of property and maintenance. 
  • Attend Board meetings when required.

Principal for 2022

The Trust Board of Tyndale Park Christian School is seeking a Principal, commencing at the beginning of Term 1, 2022. We are an independent school operating classes from Year 1 to Year 13. The successful applicant is someone who believes that it is the duty of Christian parents to train their children in a Christian environment. Anyone applying ideally has some years of experience in Christian education.

Responsibilities for the new Principal will include:

  • The spiritual leadership of the school.
  • The care, supervision and professional development of staff.
  • The care, discipline and safety of pupils.
  • Liaison with the Trust Board, parents and authorities.
  • Ability to drive continual curriculum reform.
  • Assist the Trust Board in our desire to grow the school.
  • Most likely the role will include some teaching duties.

Primary and Intermediate Music Teacher (Part-Time) for 2022

Tyndale Park Christian School (TPCS) is inviting applications for the position of part-time Primary and Intermediate Music Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of the TPCS music curriculum to students from Years 1 to 8 (the range of year levels may possibly be able to be negotiated).

Music classes are presently offered following a class music approach. The school has adequate resources for teaching students recorder, ukelele and marimba, and we want our students not only to develop an appreciation for psalms, hymns and spiritual songs but also to learn how to compose their own music. This position is about 0.2 FTTE.

Primary and Intermediate Art Teacher (Part-Time) for 2022

Tyndale Park Christian School (TPCS) is inviting applications for the position of part-time Primary and Intermediate Art Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of the TPCS art curriculum to students from Years 1 to 8 (the range of year levels may possibly be able to be negotiated).

The primary art teacher plays a crucial role in establishing foundational visual art skills in our primary and intermediate students to enable them to pursue mastery in visual art as well as laying the foundation secondary students will need to be prepared for tertiary art studies. This position is about 0.4 FTTE. The ideal candidate
