Digital literacy teacher

Tyndale Park Christian School, a co-educational, Year 0-13, independent, Christian School, is seeking suitably qualified applicants for a fixed term (Term 3 and 4 of 2018), part-time (0.2 FTE, i.e. 1 day a week) digital literacy teacher position for composite Year 6-8 and 8-13 classes, commencing 23 July 2018. This position has become available due to a staff member going on maternity leave. Some of the responsibilities of the position include:

  • Holding students accountable for a self-directed touch typing curriculum.
  • Holding students accountable for a self-directed digital literacy programme (i.e. the International Computer Drivers License).
  • Extending the self-directed curriculum mentioned above with a computational thinking and/or digital media skills programme (some experience and/or familiarity recommended).

As a Christian School, we are seeking a person with a deep personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a passion for Christian education, as a condition of appointment. Applicants must be committed to the school’s special character and to being part of a dedicated team involved in the teaching of our curriculum which emphasises Biblical principles in all aspects of school life.
