Breaking the silence

Dear TPCS community, the New Zealand Herald started running a series called “Break the silence” from the beginning of July to address the topic of teenage self-harm. In the opening paragraphs, the reporter writes, “We want to encourage people who need help to ask for it; and we want to let them know there is hope. We believe it is time for a national conversation about the matter. Are we doing enough to help? Are we doing the right things? ...”1

End-of-term Goodbyes and Reflection

Dear Parents, in Ecclesiastes 3 we read “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven”. This verse is especially true for two of our staff members who will not be with us in Term 3 and I want to take this opportunity to give a short explanation of the season that each one of them is in.

The Science Road Show 2017

Our year 5 to 8 students attended the Science Road Show today. It was hosted by Ormiston Primary. God blessed us with wonderful weather this afternoon, so we were able to walk to the venue from school.

The students marvelled at the amazing, orderly way in which God had created our world. Scientific discovery supports the Biblical narrative so well.

Neighbourhood cleanup

Tyndale Park Christian School and Hamilton Christian School did a neighbourhood cleanup in Flat Bush as a service to our neighbours and immediate community.
