Mid-term update: 9 November, 2021

Tuesday, 9 Nov 2021

Dear parents, when 2021 started we all hoped for a ‘normal’ year. We were blessed to have relative ‘normality’ for many months until 18 August … Since then, a new, uncomfortable, ‘normal’ has developed. Our experience the past three months emphasise why believing in an unchanging, all-powerful God who is ‘slow to anger and abounding in love’ gives us the strength and hope we need to live an abundant and victorious life through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour.

Partnering for academic excellence

Thursday, 5 Aug 2021

Dear Parents, every term the staff and I take an aspect of our mission statement and try to be intentional about it in our teaching practice. This term our focus is ‘academic excellence to the glory of God’. The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines the adjective ‘academic’ as ‘of, or relating to, performance in courses of study’. It is also interesting to note that ‘academic’ can mean ‘of, or relating to, literary or artistic rather than technical or professional studies’.

Great is Thy faithfulness

Friday, 9 Jul 2021

Dear Parents, the words of the hymn “Great is Thy Faithfulness”, written by Thomas Chisolm, are an accurate reflection of my gratitude to God for:

  • blessing us with a ‘normal’ term in pandemic times,
  • His sustaining provision for Tyndale Park Christian School over 40 years and
  • the lifegiving transformation that has happened over the years, every time students have accepted the salvation that is graciously ours in Jesus Christ.

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
