Science Fair

Wednesday, 10 May 2017

Our year 7 - 10 students have started working on their Science Fair projects. In my opinion, Tyndale Park Christian School's promotion of science fairs over many years is a strength of this school. God has also blessed us with a wonderful property that lends itself to all kinds of investigations: it only requires curious minds!

The challenge of screens

Thursday, 4 May 2017

Dear Parents, the past two weeks, I read through Dr Nicholas Kardaras’ book “Glow Kids: How Screen Addiction Is Hijacking Our Kids-and How to Break the Trance”. I believe it is a must-read for any parent or educator. Dr Kardaras makes a convincing case for the developmentally appropriate use of digital technology and I am afraid, as I have suspected for a while, that parents and educators are not doing this well - I feel convicted both as a technology advocate and parent of young children.

Are you a slave of digital technology or is it your tool?

ACS Cross Country Champs 2016

Wednesday, 21 Sep 2016

The ACS Cross Country Championships were held on Tuesday, 20th September. Organised by Hebron Christian School, the event was staged on the Mt Albert Summit course. 11 of our students registered to take part and all were successful in completing their respective courses. Our best result came in the Y5 Girls event where Esther Papuni ran an excellent race to finish a close 2nd place, well clear of the third placegetter. In the Year 6 girls event, Lisa Bracefield also ran a most creditable 4th place, only surrendering 3rd place in the dying stages of her race.
