Dear Parents

At the end of term 1, I had the privilege of participating in the New Zealand Association of Christian Schools’ (NZACS) Leaders Conference. NZACS represents 66 Christian schools across New Zealand. The theme of the conference was “taonga” (treasure) and through insightful keynote presentations, workshops and networking conversations we reflected on how to best steward the treasure God has entrusted to us in the Christian education movement, i.e. the students.

Dear Parents, this term the staff and I focused on one aspect of the mission statement, i.e. “Tyndale Park Christian School exists to assist parents”. “Assisting parents” means that we recognise that parents have the primary responsibility for their children’s spiritual formation and education, i.e.

Dear Parents, Tyndale Park Christian School exists to assist parents by providing a Christ-centred education that encourages academic excellence and Christian service to the glory of God. Our teaching and learning programme develops a Christian worldview in our students that keeps the God of the Bible at the centre of everything we do, “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ” (Colossians 3:23-24).
