Step 1. School tour (casual chat & tour with the Principal)
We usually do these at 10 a.m. on weekdays but have slots for 1 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays. Please let Candace know your preferred days, and she can check the principal's calendar.
Step 2. Completing enrolment forms
As soon as you decide to proceed, you can click the link to Enrol online via EDGE Learning. Follow the instructions and upload the required documents to the electronic enrollment
After completing the online application, please email your school or kindy and copy admin@tyndalepark.school.nz to let them know that we will contact them as part of your child's enrolment application.
Step 3. Enrolment Interview with the Principal
Note: When completing the online enrolment application, required enrolment documents AND supporting documents need to be uploaded as enumerated below:

Supporting Documents:

Eligibility to study in NZ (i.e., NZ Birth certificate or NZ Passport showing NZ citizenship, Student Visa, Resident Visa, etc).

ID - Birth Certificate or Passport.

Previous school reports, or if coming from kindy, a general report from kindy.

Immunisation certificate, or a letter from the parents if none.

Check for typos (e.g. email addresses are in correct format)

It is important that you use a different email address for each person or each caregiver.

It is also important that you fill in the blanks, especially those with an asterisk.

When uploading documents, use PDF documents for easier upload (Individual documents have a maximum size limit of 8MB & there's a maximum total limit of all attached files of 64MB).

Enrolment Requirements for New Entrants
By the beginning of the term in which your child is to commence school, he/she must be able to display these social and physical attributes:
- Look at the teacher.
- Listen to and follow instructions.
- Be able to work and sit quietly without additional direction or interruption.
- Be able to write their name and know their address.
- Be able to respond fluently to an adult in sentences.
- Know all the sounds of the alphabet.
- Know and recognize the numerals from 0 to 10.
- Be able to use the toilet independently and properly.
Enrolments are provisional for one term.
At least one parent of each child starting school must attend an Orientation Morning to learn how our programme works. There is also an opportunity to meet other parents, and morning tea is provided. We ask that you do not bring children with you. An Orientation Evening is held early in Term 1 each year.
