ICDL

The 'International Computer Drivers License' is an internationally recognised qualification, granted to students who successfully complete a minimum of 7 modules in the online course. From 2014 the course content has been expanded to offer students more options in their choice of modules. 7 Modules are still required to be completed to gain the Certificate. The course covers,

  1. Basic concepts of Information Technology
  2. Using the computer and managing files
  3. Word Processing
  4. Spreadsheets
  5. Database
  6. Presentation
  7. Information and communication

Our Year 9 & 10 students compete this in weekly 1 hour sessions, with a tutor to assist and supervise. It is envisaged that all students will complete the course within the two year period. All 7 modules must be completed to gain a Certificate. We feel that this course provides an excellent foundational knowledge of computers which is a neccessity in today's world. This qualification will enhance every student's C.V. when they present for a work interview.
