Afterschool Care Assistant 2022

Tyndale Park Christian School is inviting applications for the position of Afterschool Care Assistant. This position is ideal for a follower of Jesus who has experience managing children (e.g. parent, educator, afterschool care). The successful candidate will be available from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm (finishing time to be finalised), Monday to Friday during school terms. Job description

Duties of employee:              

Contribute to the caring, friendly, safe and successful operation of the Tyndale Park Christian School afterschool programme by supporting the Afterschool Manager with the coordination of the programme and complying with relevant legislation.

TEACHING, LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT                                              

  • Ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of children, staff and visitors
  • Participate in, and work with the Afterschool Care Manager to develop and coordinate all areas of the curriculum
  • Contribute to the practical preparation and tidy-up of teaching activities


  • Working collaboratively as part of a team
  • Representing a Christian role model to children, staff and visitors


  • Assist with administrative tasks and planning as requested by the Afterschool Manager
  • Uphold the principles and policies of Tyndale Park Christian School
  • Work with the Afterschool Manager to ensure that relevant legislation is complied with
