Year 1-2 Teacher Assistant, Part-time, Permanent

Tyndale Park Christian School, a co-educational Y1-13 Independent Christian School, is seeking suitably qualified applicants for the permanent, part-time role of teacher assistant for the Year 1-2 class. The ideal candidate will be a lifelong learner with a flexibile disposition and a servant heart, as well as the ability and willingness to work with the Year 1-2 students on a one-to-one basis as needed. You will be an integral part of the team who aims to create an environment in which our Year 1-2 students can thrive. 

The teacher assistant is needed from 8:50 am to 12:05 pm from Monday to Friday as well as from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on a Friday. If you are interested, you are encouraged to contact us as soon as possible to arrange a classroom visit. The position will commence from the start of Term 1, 2018.

Teacher Assistant - Special Education Needs

Tyndale Park Christian School, a co-educational Y1-13 Independent Christian School, is seeking suitably qualified applicants for the role of teacher assistant for a Year 1, female student with unique learning needs to start as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will be a lifelong learner with a flexibile disposition, and compassionate but committed to help the student learn to participate in school life within the constraints of the student's learning challenges. You will be an integral part of the Year 1-2 teaching team. 

The role will initially be part-time. Part-time hours will gradually increase as the student adjusts to the school environment and as the student's learning challenge allows it. At the moment, the teacher assistant is needed from 8:50 am to 11:05 am from Monday to Friday. These hours will soon increase, i.e. from 8:50 am to 12:50 pm. The longterm goal is that the student will be at school for the whole day. At this point it is uncertain when this will happen. If you are interested, you are encouraged to contact us as soon as possible for a classroom visit.

Digital Literacy Teacher Year 7-10, Part-time, Permanent

Tyndale Park Christian School, a co-educational Y1-13 Independent Christian School, is seeking suitably qualified applicants for the permanent role of part-time teacher of digital literacy for Years 7 to 10 from Term 1, 2018, commencing 30 January 2018. The digital literacy teacher will be expected to teach an innovative digital literacy programme that will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Touch typing
  • Common operating systems (e.g. Windows, Mac OS)
  • File organisation
  • Basic networking
  • Basic application literacy (e.g. Word Processor, Spreadsheets, Databases, Presentations, Internet, Email)
  • Digital citizenship
  • Digital media creation (e.g. digital images, digital video, digital audio)

The ideal candidate is organised, reasonably comfortable with digital technology, willing to keep on learning about changing and new digital technologies, willing to collaborate with other staff to find innovative ways to teach and integrate digital technology into other parts of the curriculum, and a person who is looking for a part-time role that will initially involve 4 hours of contact time.

It will be helpful if the candidate is available during Term 1, 2018, to become familiar with Tyndale Park Christian School's Year 1-2 curriculum to ensure a smooth transition for the students.

We are inviting applications for the position of full-time school secretary at Tyndale Park Christian School. The school secretary fulfills multiple roles which include (but are not limited to):

  • office administrator
  • bursar
  • principal's personal assistant

The ideal candidate is someone who has the gift of administration, understands the value of service and accountability, and can complete their work independently and efficiently. It will be beneficial if you are able to shadow the present school secretary for a few weeks (to be negotiated) to ensure a smooth transition.
