Dear Parents, our profile for a Tyndale Park Christian School student can be found in 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”. I have started unpacking the first part of the verse with the students, i.e. “Study to shew thyself approved unto God”, and I want to share these thoughts with you so that can we can work together to help the next generation become all God has planned for them.
Dear Parents, this past Monday, Uncle Maurice Sweetsur spoke to our students about the real meaning of Easter. He reminded the students, using a variety of excellent illustrations, that Easter is not about holidays, chocolate, eggs or bunnies. Easter is about God’s “rescue plan” for mankind through Jesus Christ, i.e. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved” (John 3:16-17).
We are very proud of our primary chess team who has managed to win the Chesspower Auckland Central South Primary Cluster Tournament today, hosted here at TPCS. They have been invited to compete in the Auckland regionals at a later date.
Congratulations to Daniel Bracefield who managed to lose none of his games - he has been invited to attend the national competition in Christchurch later this year.
We praise God for the amazing opportunity our students have had to glorify Him with the strategic thinking skills He has blessed them with.
